Has Prince ever made a commercial? By that I mean endorsed a product? I was messing about on YouTube earlier and stumbled upon Michael Jackson's cringeworthy reworking of Billie Jean for Pepsi and it struck me that Prince never sold out for anyone, to the best of my knowledge. Can someone with superior knowledge confirm that he never sold out in this way? “If I can shoot rabbits/then I can shoot fascists”

Verizon Wireless commercial from 2007. The product was you could download "Guitar", a then-new song if you had a Verizon phone. Prince doing that commercial didn't shock me. Eminem doing the Brisk commericial was shocking to me. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

imagine if prince could preserve his exotic ladies like Jerry Seinfeld preserves exotic cars? He would have quite a coveted collection. Even Jerry would be jealous.
Too bad he is not too good at preserving relationships... [Edited 7/21/13 12:21pm]

I thought so too, but as it turned out, the Prince Spagehtti was around 50 years before Prince became famous. Prince's lawyers sued the company. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR

a commercial is an ad. it's just the american word for it. it's a bit like how we say "massive fat cunt" and they say "regular size" or we say tomato and they say potato

Uh-Huh! is an unreleased song recorded at some point in early-to-mid 1991 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA (it was copyrighted on 15 October, 1991). The track is an upbeat blues/funk track, with lyrics promoting a positive, spiritual, mindset. It contains samples of Ray Charles playing piano from a popular Diet Pepsi commercial from the time, and uses the drink's slogan (also used in the commercial), "You got the right one, baby! Uh-huh!", as part of the chorus. It is not known if the track was intended for his next album, Diamonds And Pearls, or any other project. It is possible that, if released, the track would have been credited to Prince and the New Power Generation, but as other members of the band are not believed to have participated in the recording, it is included here as a 'solo' Prince track. Prince's recording of this track has often led to the mistaken belief that Prince wrote the jingle used in the commercials; in fact it was written by diet Pepsi creative director Alfred Merrin and jingle writer Peter Cofield, who tried to tailor the catchphrase "the right one" to Ray Charles' delivery and consequently added "baby." Charles' backing singers The Raelettes then added "Uh-huh!" after playing around with other two-syllably alternatives, such as "doo-woo".
