Also, according to Doc, Prince said he got the sense Toure didn't like him in 1998 when he interviewed Prince for Icon magazine and that the Panel discussion on Prince a few months back was "Prince Bashing".

I like the doc and I've defended him a number of times on this site. Seems like a great guy, does a lot of cool stuff for the fans, but...

The man is not a great writer. Not very good at all, even. The same goes for questlove. Prince can do much better.

I was shocked when Doc said Prince wants Questlove involved in writing about his life. Questlove's problem is that he seems like TOO MUCH OF A FAN and has an inflated sense of importance especially when it comes to P's career. Alan Leeds would be a better author and his personality is cool and collected and doesn't have an agenda.

Prince is right about old associates wanting to attach themselves to his success, especially in 2004 when he was back in the mainstream and had the greatest publicity he ever enjoyed since 1991, but when he's out of the spotlight, they want to speak to media personalities about what Prince isn't doing. Prince should write his own memoirs once and for all.

Well, then you don't know Prince very well. Prince can't stand any kind of criticism.

Also, I'm sorry to say, but Dr. Funkenberry is an idiot. And worse, he's a gossip girl. Just the kind that Prince has always hated ("Hello"). He's a fu-ing gossip columnist. At least CJ has a sense of humor. If Prince wants someone writing what Prince wants on a blog or book there are many, many better options.

I didn't really think toure was bashing-plus, toure seems to be a huge fan. I vote for Alan Leeds. Besides Prince can approve of the final draft.

Just watched the spree.

From what I gathered, Prince says that Quest SHOULD write a book about him. Nothing about Doc writing a book with Quest. Prince said that Doc and Quest should talk about things but not about the book.

As for Quest or Doc writing a book, there would be editors to fix the writing right? lol

Would be good for a laugh if nothing else.
