Because as far as non-French people can tell, the French use a bunch of unnecessary letters in almost random ways, at least when they get near the end of a word. If they'd just spell it Montro, everything would be fine. |

Right now P could totally pull off the Funky Mad Hatter look with the right hat. The crazier looks he run with stick in mind. Funk it up more. The set looked on the funky side. Anytime Days o Wild, FUNK, Mutiny and Old Friends 4 Sale in set I would be a happy. Some of my favorites. What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet? |

Yeah--I discovered that after being called (strangely) a "dumbass and idiot who can't even master my own language properly." I just didn't feel like arguing the point that the word isn't from my language, or that of most people who are misspelling it--or, apparently, mispronouncing it, although I did find pronunciation samples that were more the long o than the schwa sound. But fine, spell it Montruh then.
Or accept that people writing a word from a foreign (to them) language sometimes get it wrong-- Heck, I don't even know why I care. I wasn't one of the ones who was misspelling it anyway. What's the x for, anyway? (and do I get points for knowing it wasn't pronounced with a "ks" at the end?) |
