Why would dancing on a piano be different than dancing elsewhere, aside from the relatively small space?

I spent a fair amount of time dancing on top of stuff when I was in college. And once, I almost got arrested for dancing on a table at a wedding in Hammond, Indiana.

Dancing on a table/bar/piano is no different than dancing on the floor - as long as you keep in mind where the edge is.

I used to teach Dance On Top Of Objects - Advanced on weekends at the community center.
