great news. I was already really looking forward to the album coming out. Queen was a fantastic first taste of the album. September could be one hell of a month if The new d'angelo also comes out and lives up to it's hype. | |

With all due respect to you madison, how can you say that? I just don't see the type of energy that Prince and Janelle have, or the music they make very often, if at all lately. What is it that you find boring and why so negative on new music we haven't heard yet? Different strokes for different folks I guess, but this would be my Dream Duo!! | |

this duo sounds very promising yes and ok he is not at his best nowadays but he's still way better than the majority of artists on charts right now...and janelle is one of the most creative and talented artists out there so we could be on something great here... | |

I like Monae and all but at the risk of sounding like a sexist, I wish he'd play with some male musicians - non-r&b at that too. Why are his pet projects all women? Ok that bit on Common's album Electric Circus doesn't count. Neither does the very simple guitar part on Stevie's last album count.

And when people say janelle is R&B, I usually justsilently disagre. I dont get an R&B vibe from Arch af all. Crow aint r n'b...stefani aint rn'b...bush aint rn'b...kravitz arguably isnt rn'b...who knowz what george clinton is...chuck d aint rn'b...i think the people he's worked with is almost as diverse as his listening style is. I know he hasnt worked with her, but Prince is, or at least was, on Joni's jock like the tightest strap that ever was. Never mind the people he is currently playing with . I will give u that elixer and milk and j iney were primarily rn'b efforts...iunno...it tripz me out when someone makes a summation, then the very sentence after the summation, they themselves cite several variables that invalidate said summation. | |
