you're not supposed to listen to these, silly. the music is just ambience to add to the joy of watching a static image on your screen.

Are you actually catching these live or listening to the rips that have been floating around? From what I've seen they aren't as good as the Ahdio shows, but they do sound better than the captured audio.

In order to get something really top notch they'd need to be using a much more robust platform than LiveStream. YouTube has produced some pretty great live show streams in the past, but that wouldn't really work for the spontaneous thing Prine is going for here (and I'm sure he'd have to give up some control).

One of the last recordings made me mad: the volume keeps getting loud and quiet and loud again and quiet again: impossible to listen to if u ain't nearby constantly adjusting the volume! Not sure if this is the recording or if it was streamed as such but it's a hell of an annoyance!

The sound quality of one live show that they streamed obviously is from an audience recording Prince's people did themselves, it's NOT a soundboard.

I think the recordings quality isn't as good as it could but the poor things who records them are heroic enough doing so, so I ain't gonna complain about it. It's also possible that Prince keeps the quality poor on purpose: he said "bootlegs 4 daze" didn't he, so we're getting bootleg quality

These streams are the bomb, though! I'd rather PAY for them and have them for download in perfect quality, but I prefer to have them as they are than not to have them at all

That's what I was thinking - especially when it is a camera filming a laptop, and it doesn't look like the camera is plugged into the jack so ur not getting a lineout level...so it's macbook speakers being picked up by a the camera mic? Maybe there's a 3rdeyetv comp CD in the pipeline which'll be the original tracks?

yes, thats my thoughts too, the bad quality is there on purpose.

Prince does not want to give anything in great quality away "for free".

But we're more than willing to buy the good quality - it's just not been there. Why would he give anything away free though?

^ I can't answer you, in a "perfect world" all of the tracks would be/ should be available on 3rdeyegirl.com for downloads in wav... but they aren't... who knows why..?

he or the people he is hanging out with now have found a way to get new fans and this is the way of the future in my opinion but he is doing it now

Not sure I was bitchin, over the moon with the current direction and that things are free, and that just loads is happening...just mentioned I would, if I could, pay for higher quality. And the fact that he has given Menstrual Octupus for free on Soundcloud, it's magnificent! Am pleased that he has - but don't see why he should!
