Prince music from the 80s/90s that I missed

I really am not surprised that I may not have heard all of Princes music that he released to the public over the years. I mean he was popping new music out like a madman at times. And as life moved on, I guess I tuned out music to raise my kids. But they are older now, & I am back on the music scene. I have recently heard several tracks by Prince that I was not familiar with, & I am liking some of them. This is all thanks to my new fav music site.. I wrote a few of them down, they are: 'Money Don't Matter 2nite', 'God', 'Strollin'-i wrote "jazzy" next to it, 'Extraordinary'-i wrote "nice slow jam, very romantic", & 'Walk Don't Walk'-i wrote "interesting". There are others that I may have heard a couple of times such as 'Cream' & others similar. But like Prince himself, who is a changed man with new standards, I also choose not to listen to certain types of songs anymore. So to some, those songs are "old", but to me they aren't. Maybe being behind the times a bit isn't such a bad thing. I'll listen out for more "new" music of his & let yall know. What I really wish I knew is, what are the meanings of the songs,.. hmmm

Ok, some "madmen" are geniuses correct? That's what I meant above whew . I think what I really need to do is get my hand on some LYRICS.., because truth be told, for different reasons, on songs, (not just Prince songs), sometimes you just can't hear ALL of the lyrics clearly.. So I will be on the prowl for lyrics to his songs. Because.......

yes EVERYBODY NEEDS A THRILL nod

So I guess you have been warned, I love words.. So ok, if you or whomever may have been confused with my 1st post, esp the ending, because I thought I did not explain myself clear enough, I came back a 2nd time & tried 2 elaborate more. So anyway, that's all I got really, 4 now anyway. As far as buying Princes records, no offense, but I have those songs covered.. pc . I just want to catch him in concert again. I hear the tic prices are outrageous.. I think someone should talk to him & Madonna (I hear she charges a lot too). The times I saw him back in the day, I don't think I paid more than $30!! So paying say.. anything over $75 will have me a bit peeved. Have they not heard of THE RECESSION?? doh!

Just chalk it up to inflation since the '80s and catch a show. Also, buy the albums you don't have and track down all the b-sides. They're mostly pretty cheap these days...

After I sent in that post, I did think about that i word... inflation. But come on now.. it reminds me of Walmart & their suppliers. Somethng will cost $1.oo for a while, & the next thing you know it goes up to $1.50 or higher. It's like what happened to things going up 2 cents at a time like back in the day?I'm not here to knock Prince, because I truly am a fan, but I live in the REAL world 24/7. I have 2 kids who are always needing & wanting things. So for me to spend $150 on a concert would be like me taking from them, & that is not going 2 happen. The only way I could swing it, is if I saved up for a few months. Do you know if he still performs in VA & if he will be in that area anytime soon?, or even DC or MD ? Thanks in advance.

I think that before The Rainbow Children album in 2001, all Prince songs were really straight forward. They all came from his heart and we easy to understand. After he became a Jehoweh's Witness, things got a little confusing. So prior to 2001, if you want to know the meaning of a song, just listen to it and it's clear. After 2001, you need a New World's Translation and Larry Graham to understand what he's saying.

Does he include lyrics with his cds? I have the The Lotus Flower cd, let me check... Nope! no lyrics! I like to see lyrics, that way if I don't catch a word in a song, I can read them, & I can also better understand where an artist is coming from by reading them.. Lyrics for me is like icing on the cake! I guess that is up to each artist, whether they include the lyrics or not.. I'm thinking artists use to include them more in the 80/90s. I could be wrong though. Speaking of LotusFlower, there are a few cuts on there that I like.
