From the instrumentals, we hear so far on 3rdEyeGirl on Soundcloud, and on Livestream..A WHOLE ALBUM of stuff like that, will blow my mind!I love the direction he is going right now!
I am quite confident it will be a DOUBLE album..Here is to hoping! lol
If you think of it, everything on 3rdeyegirl is focused on Prince, Hannah, Ida, and Donna is not really on that. So I think Prince may compile a list of songs here and there. The question is will it be physical?
I am quite sure the physical realease, will be the instrumental release with Kolbat. AND if there is any physical release on 3rdeyegirl..it will be of his material. WHICH WOULD BE WONDERDUL! It's Button Therapy, Baby!

Gray, you don't have to guess. You are hard core.
But Genesia is saying that only his fans buy his albums, while you respond with the fact that you prefer physical album releases, which you KNOW I do too.
Genesia does have a valid point though... I don't personally know anyone that buys Prince's albums. I know I do, you do, and Genesia does, but we're all hard core.

. [Edited 7/2/13 13:57pm] If P puts out music with the proper promotion, distribution and marketing the masses will get a chance to hear the music. If the masses hear it they can decide to buy it. People do not buy Prince music because they simply do know about. Not because he is on some national do not buy list.

it just dawned on me that in the past when prince was releasing lots of instrumental music he usually had some amazing albums to accompany it, before or after: . madhouse 8/madhouse16/parade/sign o the times news/xpectation/cnote/the rainbow children/one nite alone piano . so i'm hoping for something similar this time. lots of instrumental tracks already floating around now, none of which seem to be on plectrum electrum, so if the benchmark for a whole album of instrumentals is even higher than that, it will be a great album. and we know that prince has lots of new tracks by now with him on vocals. so perhaps a bit later on this year he'll hit us with an incredibly strong studio plus vocals album . whatever it's going to be though, 2013 is already a very exciting and yes, BIG, year as we've already had so much new stuff thrown at us. it'll take me a while to let it all sink in. the singles, the occasional tracks on 3rdEyeGirl, the streams with all that new stuff and reworking of older songs and covers. plus all the live shows. whew.

Genesia said: I'd love an instrumental CD - since recent lyrics have been nothing to write home about. (No pun intended.) U're a clever girl Lt. Starling. Seriously....that was funny. [Edited 7/7/13 15:21pm]

I wouldn't define a hard core fan that way. A hard core fan buys every tune Prince releases. Buys memorabilia and never breaks the shrink wrap. A hard core fan has been to as many concerts as possible. Buys a lot of bootlegs & doesn't care about the quality. Hard core fans love him no matter what he does. A hard core fan doesn't care what his hair looks like.

Triple album. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

a 3CD set would be nice, Disc 1: 3rdeyegirl tracks Disc 2: Prince tracks from 2011-2013 and Disc 3: Rehearsals/Reloaded songs. But I have a feeling that it won't happen Welcome 2 The Dawn
