Prince Whitelabel remixes by groovy house producers / DJs?

Hi there,

just wondered - is there anyone tracking what cool remixes of Prince songs were available on whitelabels? E.g., did Master at Work ever touched a Prince song and release it as a 12''? I think I somewhere have a DMC remix of Prince stuff, and some Controversy remixes (but without reference to who the DJ/remixer is)...

What about David Moralles, Carl Cox, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Erick Morillo etc...

What I refer to is really "pressed" releases, not internet-only remixes. I know there is Google to search and Mixcloud... but I mean the stuff before mp3...

Anyone in the know about a reference site, that would be cool.

Cheers

Roger Sanchez' 1999 (remake) is better than Prince's remake.

I have heard mixes made by DJ Ben Liebrand, I don't like them at all, though..

Kirky J's remixes are actually quite good, but he did have access the multi-tracks.

how do you know if the white label lp's are prince mixes because i was just at the thrift store last weekend and i saw a bunch of white labels and one lp said beautiful(remix) written on my side and can you handle it? on the other side of the white label. i used to have a white label of 1999 but it was a trance mix that i really didnt care for. i remember that i bought the best prince mix that i ever heard back in the late 90s from a favorite store and i am sure that its not circulating because it was pressed on one side and the other side of the lp wasnt pressed at all but my uncle has it now.
