Space - Universal Love or Come album version?

which do u prefer?

I think my favorite is the Universal Love version... it's almost a completely different song. It's great... But I like the sound of the album version too.. very cool and funky.

Does anyone know how the universal love version came about?

neither. the "acoustic" remix is the one that really gets to the heart of the song, for me.

For sure. It makes a nice twin to Pink Cashmere that way too.

Universal! Has more feeling.

Come Albumn more polished, smoother but less passion.

The acoustic remix is by far the best. As for maxi singles, i like some remixes and that, but id swap them without hesitation for B-sides and 12" releases.

I think the remix has just become a cheap way of conning the music buyer. Ive never bought a single that had more than one remix i liked on it, and generally they weren't as good as the original track.

Artists like madonna now release up to two cd singles of remixes and generally they're all crap. Id rather hear the most below par b-side than 57 "different" remixes of the original song with a shite dance beat clumsily stuck behind it.

I like what prince did with the acoustic space remix though, changed the vibe of the song completely, and is proof of the potential of the remix.

Used to be u could always count on Prince and R kelly to provide a great remix, that was almost nothing like the original song.and it most suredly would have a b side of some sort on it as well. So if u were buying a single, and it had an R kelly remix on it(by any artist) it was worth it. Now in the land of the Jarules and ASShanti, u can't get even a good remix let alone a good b side. Some people save their b sides and remixes for mix tapes, which sucks cos a lot of people don't have access to them, but oh well those were the days..

There is a little hope for music fans tho...

Jarule has said he will no longer record albums...GREATDAYINTHAMORNIN!
unfortunately asshanti will,
and incase u need a ja rule fix(i can't imagine why) he is going to be acting now.. which is good for him, cos for these past few years he's acted just like jay z and dmx.

maybe if ja gets back into music he will do an album with larry graham...the album could be called 2annoyingniggzunited4yodispleasure.

sorry i seemed to have gone off topic.. but does anyone agree that ja rule and murder inc suck major ass?

I discovered "Universal Love" a few years after it came out. The song doesn't grow old on me.
