rarest Prince item you came across in a shop Hey, what's the rarest Prince item you've come across in a shop. I'm still hoping for the day when I can find Gold Nigga or One Nite Alone in a second hand shop.

That was the 12" Gotta Stop in Wrecka Stow in Rotterdam years ago. I didn't buy it because I found 600 Dutch guilders, which we still had back then, too expensive.

Last year I found a CD case with a booklet from the 1st Prince: A Celebration in 2000 at my local library branch (for $2!!!). These were given at the Celebration event - nothing spectacular, no music even, but quite a rarity.

I found the German-only "Gold Disc" edition of Around The World In A Day, in a shop in Birmingham, England, for £5. It was my first time buying that album as I was completing my Prince collection, so I didn't even realise until a year or so later. Not sure what it's worth these days, but over the years I've seen it sold online for as much as £200. |

Sheila E "Live in Romance 1600" laserdisc at Record Runner in New York City. This was around 2001 or so.
It was up high on a wall. I didn't even ask how much it was. [Edited 6/16/13 13:30pm]

I found this in a clearance bin at a Sam Goody store in a mall, for only $2 back in the mid 80's! They were blowing out some left over vinyl at the end of a rack, just tossed in there. This is way before this dance mix and rare b-side is as accessible as it is today.
It was like finding a million dollars and I still have it till this day, just because of how I found it and how much I paid for it!!
