A woman "doing wrong" to Prince, hurting him.. seems like a subject for Prince to write a song:

Dark,

Nothing Compares 2 U...



these comes 1st to me, as "bitter" - or unhappy - love songs, about a breakup.. any more?


It might seems a little cruel.. but there's some beauty in it, right..?

I was just thinking about this. it's certainly a theme he draws upon often.

I highy suspect Prince's unhappy love songs are written during periods

of time that he's trying to sober up or come off of his various drug

addictions.

Coming off of cocaine will get a man to write a song like

"The Beautiful ones", while having a bad acid flashback

will obviously get him to write 'wedding feast'.

I'm convinced Love U But don't trust U anymore was

written when he was probably smoking a load of MaryJane

to battle his crack addictions.

Whatever, the case, an unhappy Prince always writes

the very best music. Here's to wishing for years of

continued misery, and occasional drug use.

"Nothing Compares 2 U" doesn't really fit in that list...

He needs to write those songs more honestly, which is to say HE'S the reason his relationships don't work out, not the woman, (or in Bria's case, the man). Thanks you, I'm here all week.
