i have always had a thing about that album. it starts off good, gets a bit wobbly but then it has a few of the greatest songs prince has ever written in the middle:

raspberry beret
tamborine
AMERICA...oh my god!
pop life

and then it gets wobbly again with the ladder and temptation. i've recently re-discovered it as well. i love it.

Why didn't he include "She's always in my Hair" on it?

It was recorded early enough to be included wasn't it?
