The difference is, this was done in a photo studio, not from the bushes outside Paisley Park using night vision goggles & a telephoto lense;)

for a bit it reminds me of what he did on the Parade album, like he was trying to work his hands/arms into an expression.

Like the Parade album shoot there are a whole bunch of cuts from that,that didn't make it, this Lovesexy one just wasn't the best and so wasn't fixed up.

True! But I don't think it is the pose people are reacting to, but the clothes (or lack thereof). With the fans he has today, Prince would have been finished by Dirty Mind.

I agree, I don't get people who say they are fans but can't accept parts of his career or personality.

He started out on his 1st 2 albums with naked pictures.

The pic is great/nobody but Prince coulda pulled it off

If you read my entire post, it is clear that I am not addressing people who do not like the picture. So, again, can you read? My comment is addressing those people who felt a need to diss one or certain eras as a way to celebrate or give props to another era. So, if all you did was say that you don’t like the picture, then my comment is not directed toward you. However, if you continued to say I love this era because it is more authentically Prince than some other “lame” era, then it is meant for you.
