everyone knows the "rankiest " prince album is "2010". Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

I assume Shawy does not actually expect us to do this. Thus, the . I think it's a joke.
But if you're serious...
Hell no. There is no way I could really break down the differences to rank EVERY album in a way that gave each one its own spot in a list. Oh, I might be able to set out a few tiers, three or four or five "groups" that are more or less roughly in the same ballpark--but I'm not sure I could even do that.

Have to say I've never listened to Kamasutra but I see it gets a lot of hate. Is it really that bad??

I knew someone was actually going to do this! I generally agree with your list (except that I don't like Rainbow Children) and as for Kamasutra, it's a nice piece of instrumental music, nothing more, nothing less.

I begged off doing the list already--but I will agree with you about Kamasutra. I don't get the extreme negative reaction it often receives, but it's certainly not the greatest thing he ever did. In fact, I might put it last on a Prince album list, if I did one. But I still like it some.

Before I heard it, I expected Kamasutra to be God-awful, but I honestly didn't think it was that bad. In fact, a few songs are really good. The only song I hated was "Cutz," which featured a pair of scissors as the main "instument."

1980-1987 The prolific amount of quality material written & produced in that time period puts him in a class of very few musicians.

Billioninth time asked and Billionith response (Actually the 17th time). Again the list may have changed a bit since last time. No greatest hits types (Except Crystal Ball) or live/Bootlegs ones. Also albums I havent heard are not included.
I will put them in 6 categories but in order.
Classics (Over 85%) - Absolutely Mind blowingly good, the Top tier
Sign o the Times 1999 Parade Dirty Mind Purple Rain The Gold Experience
Excellent (75 - 85%) - Not quite top tier, still great and satisfying important records.
Around the world in a day Controversy Lovesexy Crystal Ball (3CDS) 3121 Lotusflow3r/MPLSound Come Black Album
Good (65 - 75%) - Still good albums, but mired down with lesser tracks and for fans only.
Prince Diamonds and Pearls Chaos and Disorder (Much better than its usually rated, a solid rock album) Planet Earth 20 Ten Graffiti Bridge The Vault Emancipation (The filler and rapping brings it down) Musiciology
Meh! (50 -65%) - You can take or leave it here, some good jams, lots of filler and lesser stuff.
For You Batman Lovesymbol (Really dropped in my estimations) Rave One Night Alone/Piano ONA Live the Aftershow Exodus
Snore (35 -50%) - Really boring and unmemorable, below par.
Indigo Nights NEWS Newpowersoul (Although 3 great songs) Slaughterhouse The Truth Chocolate Invasion
Truly Awful (Under 35%) Not recommended for anyone except for torturing people with.
Kamasutra (Not really an album, but unlistenable tosh) The Rainbow Children (Thats an abortion, not an album). [Edited 6/22/13 23:41pm] Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
