True Story

I was sitting in my $75 Dollar Nosebleed seat at the Musicology Concert. This guy next to me looked at me and said, "Say man, you look as if you never heard this guy (Prince) before." Can you guess what I said next?

Nope. (The thought did cross my mind though) Nah, I simply told him what was coming next for the rest of the concert. lol I'm sure he wanted to punch me but he knew he shouldn't have made such a stupid comment. I really wouldn't pay so much to sit in nosebleed for ANYBODY, nosebleed seats are for people who won tickets from a radio station (unless the station was giving away front row, second, 3rd, 4th and 5th row seats.

I won tickets to P's Chicago concert and my seats were pretty good! I wasn't on the floor, or anywhere near him, but I could see EVERYTHING.!!!

I won tickets to Emancipation for singing When Doves Cry. I'm sure there are many exceptions to the rule on radio winnings. Prince is usually pretty cool when he gives them away. I just know that a TON of people five away crappy seats when they give them away on the air. I got so many complaints from winners when I worked in the contesting department. I was pretty clever at reminding them that they were complaining about FREE TICKETS.

At any rate, I was sort of shocked to see that another Prince fan would question the background of another. The signs of how big a fan I am were all there. 1. I was there alone 2. I insisted on PAYING for my ticket, I don't care for contests anymore.

It wasn't too long before I found out that this guy was at the Musicology concert because of Purple Rain...... confused He hadn't heard of One Night Alone yet. This is how I kind of knew what was going to happen next. Or at least had an idea.

The first time I saw him, I sat in nosebleeds... I was just glad to be there.

After that, I never sat that far again! lol

(Okay, once, but that was because we drove down on a last minute whim and bought what they had. The venue was smaller, so it wasn't as far as that first time.)
