Do you think there has been even one woman...

...who was NOT ultimately a gold digger around Prince?

SUSAN MOONSIE perhaps? Is Prince's eventual problem in relationships that he requires them to stay looking and feeling young, so that he he does not need to grow up himself?

Why do you assume the women in Prince's life were gold diggers, why the low opinion? Don't you think he could attract someone to want him for himself not for his money/status?

i truly dont follow this odd thread

gold′ dig`ger
n.

1. a person who seeks or digs for gold in a gold field.
2. Informal. a woman who associates with or marries a man chiefly for material gain.
[1820–30, Amer.]
gold′ dig`ging, n.

hardly call mayte or mani as erm....goldddiggers??

Well as a divorcee myself and just looking at Prince's track record with women. Imma say it was him and not the women. A woman doesn't have to be a golddigger to want a relationship with a successful or rich person-that's just a smart woman. Hell women don't wanna take care of no man lol. But we all know that wifey two was a straight golddigger-ole girl just gave Prince back what he had given to so many others lol Still heart him though, but marriage material he is not lol

It's not fair to assume the women were golddiggers. Who are these gold diggers that you speak of?

Prince is far from being stupid im sure he knows that his finances make him a great catch lol I think he really loved wife number two that's how she took him to the bank lol but I think he has done so many messed up things to women that any woman who really thought a relationship with him would last is fooling herself.

If you have never walked across a marble floor
and fallen on your keester, rising from embarrassment
while knowing what that hard rock solid floor made your assshhh
feel like...

Then you will never truly know, why money never mattered.

There is symbolism in everything.

The luxuries in life are nice but the awareness of
how hard and painful situations can be truly
wakes you to what matters.

You can always work to make money,
but you can't always be recognized
for the love you have for another when the other
takes you for granted, period.

All the rainbows in the world are the gift...
put the pot of gold up for sale, I'll
share the rainbows, forever.

Love it, but still don't like the implication that all the women in Prince's life cannot see past his money/fame

l have to agree with u on this one

hes never changed he always pick women who wants his money so much

like l say he should have a woman to love him for what he is inside and out like his trueself

which will profound his relationship last longer than golddiggers

look what happen to his 2nd marriage who was only interested in limelight and money

and look how she went off with eric benet..

lm afraid prince has never changed at all ... repeated the same pattern ...

Prince gives them his money and pampers the girls.

And he gets to have the most beautiful girls in his bed.

That seems like a fair deal to me.

He's having a good time, and that's important.

He is what he is, rich, famous and just a human being.

I hope the alimony reforms pass and they are retroactive, for Prince's sake and many others.

Why? The alimoney is part of the deal.

If a girl gives up her own live or career path in order to be in a relationship with him,

she should get the alimoney when it's over.

When she stays working and making money for herself, she will have a life of her own and she does not need to adjust her schedule to him.

If he wants to be with her, he'll have to step up to the plate to make the love relationship worthwhile for her.

I think that is the great thing about emancipation.

Women are not forced to have children and they can make money for themselves.

If Prince wants to be in a relationship with an independant woman, he'll have to be worthwhile for her.

If a woman chooses to sell herself in a relationship or marriage with her, Prince should transfer a monthly income to her bank account. He can't expect her to give up her life and career being left unpaid.

Just like all guys. And girls.

Susannah? He actually loved her and I am sure she had a back up plan if Prince stardom did not beckon.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

You mean Mani had to give up her "career" as an obsessed fan?

If you have never walked across a marble floor and fallen on your keester, rising from embarrassment while knowing what that hard rock solid floor made your assshhh feel like... Then you will never truly know, why money never mattered. So, are you saying that if you've never stumbled, you will never know that money is worthless? This doesn't make sense. What if a person only understands the value of money and hardwork through his failures, like Steve Jobs did? I think those words were meant to sound more profound than logical.

There is symbolism in everything. Well, not in literal words. For example: I miss grandma--she's dead. There's no symbolism or abstraction there. I really mean she's dead. Are you sure you're not just trying to sound profound?
The luxuries in life are nice but the awareness of how hard and painful situations can be truly wakes you to what matters. It doesn't make sense why these two are tied together. I mean, I could just as easily have said, drugs are fun, but it is .... Or, rainbows are nice, but ......
You can always work to make money, but you can't always be recognized for the love you have for another when the other takes you for granted, period. Again, with the comparing money to awareness of pain and other such things. This would make better sense if the narrative used more objective language in detailing a man who rejects a woman who loves him in pursuit of riches, which is what I think this poem attempts but fails to do.
All the rainbows in the world are the gift... put the pot of gold up for sale, I'll share the rainbows, forever. Oh god damn. I was only joking about using the Rainbows line above. Never in a million years did I think you would do it. Before this line, I was going to say, though still nonsensical and misfired, this poem is a big improvement on the other one you posted recently. But, this line screwed the pooch supreme. Oh my goodness. disbelief

Take care, Love4a1000yrs It doesn't sound like you really mean that in light of the fatal attraction style drivel that was just posted.

Women are sex objects and men are success objects, so its a fair question. Take away his fame and put him in an office job making average wages and he doesn't get nearly the amount of hot women that he's gotten.
