Playlist that might appeal to a 5 year old

It's time to indoctrinate my nephew.

So far.

Starfish and coffee
Raspberry beret
Song of the heart
She gave her angels

What else could I put on his first mixtape?

When my oldest was 4/5 he used to love Jack U Off. I know it's not lyrically appropriate but the lyrics are all over their heads at that age and it has a fun sound.

No More Candy 4 U should be on the list.

But instead of forcing our choice of tracks, the best thing to do is play all of the albums, see which tracks they react to and make a play list from those tracks.

Paisley park is a little slow but could work. Girls and boys, kiss and diamonds and pearls are my little girl's favourites. My boy seem to appreciate ONLY "Get on the boat", but he's deaf after all razzI have no idea of what's about that song that makes himcare, or even in he can hear it at all. They all have acceptable lyrics. too. I try to avoid teaching songs with "bad" lyrics, at least for now... Also because the girl would ask the meaning of every single word lol But this is your nephew, you can tell him "ask your mama" - an option I don't have!!

Be my mirror
Baby I'm a star
$
Wherever u go, whatever u do
Paisley park
Diamonds and pearls
Make ure mama happy
All my dreams

Being a very young kid, you may choose the ones with a video or live performance to accompany them. Kids are very "visual" at that age, he may get bored if he can't "look" while listening. I always start with videos, than they start asking for songs alone, to dance, once they know them. It's education after all... Takes time wink
