I should start a campaign to get a refund for all the shitty music Prince has put on the market place

for the last 25 years or so.

I would be more likely to sign a petition to have all the musicians whom Prince has taken advantage of over the years to get a nice paycheck or at the very least some proper credit.

I'm truly surprised he hasn't been honored there yet. I mean really, how many bonafide American living legends are there?

First of all, who is to say that Prince would even want the Kennedy Center Honor? Two months ago, there was a tribute in his honor at Carnegie Hall that he didn't go to after saying in Billboard magazine that "he plans on attending the event". Prince hasn't even expressed a desire to get a star on the Hollywood boardwalk. I'd hate to see people emotionally invest in this endeavor only for Prince to blow it off.

Done. Great idea. The TV broadcast will be cool as hell - watching Prince watch the performers sing his songs. Robert Plant and Jimmy Page were brought to tears watching Ann Wilson sing the hell out of Stairway to Heaven this year. Same with Pete Townshend watching Bettye Lavette sing Love Reign O'er Me in 2008.

If they are as good as the Carnegie Hall show, I'd be satisfied. Bring on Kat Edmonson for an encore of The Beautiful Ones, I say:

I dont think submitting an online form is an emotional investment. The kennedy center called for submissions so people will submit his name if they see fit...and despite not showing up at Carnegie Hall he has showed up at other events/award shows where he was honored.

Prince sucks. People who like Prince suck. I am a sad pathetic man. Anyone who would do this is a sad pathetic woman/man/sheep/dork. Prince is an assmunch. Prince's music has sucked for the last 5/10/15/20/25/30 years. Prince won't show up if he wins. Prince didn't show up for (fill in the blank). Prince uses people. Prince has stolen everything from other musicians and never given them credit. Prince is like a beautiful butterfly-unicorn and I dream of making love/petting/pulling his wings off and pasting them to my back and jumping off the balcony of our house and flying to paisley park where he will waiting, with new wings on his back/playing board games on a snowy MN night curled up by a big roaring fire with/to him. Prince is a cheap bastard. Did I mention he is a buttmunch. OK, hope that does it.
