I just read that Janet Jackson is reportedly a Billionaire. Congrats to her, no hate. Prince has been around a little longer and appears to be more successful and he is not a Billionaire yet? Is it me or doesn't that seem strange? Don't give me the old "he doesn't care about stuff like that".Would really like to read your thoughts as to how this could be. He may be...since we only know what we hear in the media about celebrity finances...we may never know for sure. He may be or close to it.

I am sure Ms. Jackson is independently wealthy, but if she's a billionaire it's probably because she just married a billionaire.

I think it's been pretty well documented that Prince spends money like a drunken sailor. He's probably made a billion over his career - he's just pissed a lot of it away.

McCartney was reportedly worth 300 million pounds in 1989, so it's feasible that he's a billionaire by now in dollar terms.

Prince, surely, was pretty skint around '88 so he was starting from scratch at that point. He's not been so successful since then, so I'd be very surprised if he was close to being a billionaire..despite his ticket prices!

I find it shocking, Well at least for Artists like Prince that have been around for so long and have sold as many reords, merchandise and concerts etc. The music industry,what a bidness!! Good grief!

Beacause Prince pissed it all away, back when he was a massive star he spent as much as he earned and then some which was why he came so close to bankruncy around the 90's, he knows how to spend it alright but has no clue about investing or anything buisness related.

i find it even harder to believe that he has not yet dedicated himself to the one gift he has that shines even brighter than that of music, and won the ping pong masters tournament
