If I Was Your Girlfriend, When Doves Cry and Purple Rain are 3 of my absolute favourites, but I must've listened to the single edits one or two times, I believe they're completely ruined by the edits!

I will make one called Religion or Metamorphasis of Faith or something like that.
It would probably go in order of scriptural accuracy and not in order neccisarily that it was made... (from somewhat liberal, or confusing to interperate, to clearly "strict" Bible stuff) or like "floaty faithy" to "Legalistic".
I am an apologist so I find his religious stuff VERY moving and interesting and exciting EVEN though he did not come to the same conclusion as I did.
I probably would need some help because there are probably at least 40 songs of this nature. The way interperet them I would include tracks like Paisley Park, and not just the obvious "The Cross". Interesting. Must it be only hits? Some are album fan favorites here, like Head, Glam Slam, The Work...
If the concept extends for that, some important songs are missing, most notably: Private Joy, Something in the water, The beautiful ones, Joy in repetition, and the most-important b-sides, How come u dont call me anymore, 17 days, Erotic city and She's always in my hair. also I think at least 1 outtake is unmissable: Old friends 4 sale (original version)
Also, you've put only TWO songs from Controversy, 1999 and ATWIAD, whereas the much weaker album Diamonds and Pearls got FIVE songs in. And the edited versions of When doves cry, If i was your girlfriend, Purple rain etc are abortions!! The songs are killed this way.

Interesting. Didnt realize that much Prince songs dealt with Religious themes.
