Dunno if the lyrics are all that clever, but enjoyed listening to it last night after seeing this thread. It''s ok, not my favorite, but still... "Bone..."

I believe the liner notes said ""Original lyrics by Brenda Lee Eager and Hilliard Wilson. Once NPG got it, the dogs buried it in the yard, and when it was finally found it sounded like this."

The track sounded like that after they dug it up. That doesn't mean "they" changed the lyrics. If the lyrics were altered credit would need to be given and he makes no mention of that and neither does princevault. So there's that.

I've said this before: "Hide The Bone" should have been the opening track on TGE (instead of the lame "P Control").This is some hardcore.gritty funk!

That move would have made for a much better album. "P Control/Warm It Up Kris" is one of Prince's most embarassing tracks ever.
