Ok,

So I can handle that I'm not a "true fan" by all the definitions that are flying around, but I dig the man's music. Now I need a little help from those true fans. Is "Come" worth getting? I've heard both sides of the argument, but I have noticed that it's the album that people talk the least about on here, which seems to me like it might be non-essential. Discuss.

nor do i own anything from 2 rave. i'm chronologically right-on from '78 till '87.

Get Come. The only bad song on there
But, Come is a masterpiece, as is Papa.

It's a very consistent album, with great production, much like the rainbow children in that respect.

In my opinion, Letitgo and Loose are worth getting the album for.

Race is fantastic and funky - nice sentiment too. Space is gorgeous (but the remixes are better). Loose sounds just like it could have been a 1999 B-Side with the addition a techno riff.

BUT THERE ARE SOME DOGS ON THIS ALBUM!

With the exception of Orgasm I think Come is a good album. Not his best, mind you, but worth owning. Notables are Come, Space, Pheromone, Loose, Papa, Race, Dark, Solo, and Letitgo,

Come is a fantastic album, one of the best of the 90's. Possibly the best. I've been listening to it alot lately. The only track I don't like is PAPA, but alot of people like that track. I made my own edit of the title track, which in my opinion is tooo long. But other than that - great great album.

Hey, wait a min' the title track is GREAT! IMHO Come as a album is very underrated, it's as tight as Prince's ass, exept for solo and orgasm...

I think it is one of his best albums actually. The song COME is pornofunk, at least that is what one critic wrote in the Netherlands. The NPG Hornz are just brilliant on COME and DARK.

When I was in Barcelona, I tried to make the same picture on the steps of La Sagrada Familia. I love the album design.

The album is dark, funky, real, layered...RUN !!!

LOVE this CD...short of Orgasm...

One of my favorite albums. An absolute must have.

Actually, that little sound byte "come", that loops continously through the whole song, is my default sound on my pc. I love that album.

No you are not a "true" fan. No true prince fan would ever ask if a prince album is worth getting.U are a casual admirer (how about that). Come is a great album that people are loving more has we drift further away from its birth. Thw title song is a masterpiece. I posted a tread just about that song that i was pretty proud of even though it was mostly ignored. As someone has said the more seriously u write the less response u get.

in my top4 Prince albums...

not a bad track on there (tho Orgasm,with the 2 samples is odd,it fits in perfectly with the album's themes & sound)

my faves r Loose!,Space & Letitgo...but u cant pik a bad one (Race is my least favourite track)
