I think their image was waaaay out of style by the time they came out, which may have influenced the way their music was seen - but there are some stonking funk cuts on there - 100MPH, Stroke, Player's Ball. | |

Yeah, he should have simplified the look
Maybe a 1999-Purple Rain look simplied, buttoned pants, ruffled shirts, capes(they had the look mostly) but the colors and patterns were over the top

Could be a Gibson Explorer. - - Tony chops on a different-shaped black axxe during "Player's Ball". you are right because KISS was still doing this image during that time even after not wearing the make up. Mazarati image kinda reminded me of KISS.
