I love the warning on the back cover: "Please note: FBG isn't responsible for occasional distortion - this is caused by Prince's decision to upload over-compressed and clipped audio files."
Hilarious, and oh so true. Never understood how someone who is alleged to be a perfectionist doesn't care how shitty the music sounds as a result of releasing sub-par recordings. And I'm just referring to the audio quality, by the way. For example, I wanted to burn a copy of "Let's Go Crazy Reloaded" for my dad (who took me to see Purple Rain when I was 9) but it's such a terrible recording that I decided against it. He would love the song itself, but the quality of that file is abysmal. I used to think it was because Prince wanted to make money off it at a later date, but we all know he won't ever release higher quality versions of any of the hundreds of inferior audio files he's put out over the years. He just doesn't care, for some reason...either about his fans' listening experience or about his legacy suffering, apparently. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
