Springsteen and Prince

How about a 'cover version' exchange programme? I can almost hear The E-Street Band fireing out ICNTTPOTM, and P covering Born To Run, your suggestions...?

i wouldn't be surprised if one of them has ever covered the others work. the admiration is well known: Springsteen once got up on stage with Madonna during the Purple Rain tour and he even namechecks Prince in his Greatest Hits cd. As for Prince, i don't know if he has ever mentioned Bruce. but for golly's sake, BRING IT ON!!!

P did Born In the USA as part of his '80's Medley' in 88, but that's about it so far.

Prince checked out a Springsteen show in Berlin this year.

Hmmm...cover exchange.

Springsteen: When Doves Cry
Prince: Dancing in the Dark

The songs were number 1 and two at one point so I think it would be a good exchange and I believe it would work.

But Springsteen and Prince are both such great musicians that they could make any song from the others catalog work.

Someone humor me; why does Springsteen use that affected Southern accent in some of his songs? He's from JERSEY FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!
