I still enjoy Gett Off for what it is: a highly enjoyable New Jack Swing relic

I get this for 'I Rock Therefore I Am' - not a stellar song in the first place, but there's the sound of this guy talking on the end of it that just makes it unlistenable for me.

I don't know how you missed it before, or why you don't like it

That is a chord on the keyboard, it's meant to push the enrgy over the top. Like it's pushing through to another level. It's a a musical choice that's played l o n g .

A bit like the funky odd organ chord that comes in on Housequake or even Musicology, but a lot more soft in the mix and bass heavy.

I'm again astonished that this sounds like a mistake to other ear instead of the cool innovative arrangement touch it was meant to be.

I can't listen to the song "COME" because of the tamborine (at least I think it's a tamborine. It' sounds like sleighbells or something.) and the drums. That's ALL I hear from the song.


As far as Gett Off, I can't listen to it because I always remember "23 scriptures and a one night stand", then I want to stab somebody.

Wow, I just played Gett Off - and I had noticed that symbol before after the scream and it was OK but not picked up on it that it repeats every couple of seconds throughout the song - and it is annoying !!!! I just wish I had not read this thread now - hehe
