I understand PR is THE Prince album that everyone knows and loves, but I think it is slightly overrated. I do like it, though.

I was looking for a 1999 part 2 when Purple Rain appeared.

To be honest, I was too. "When Doves Cry" was a genius first single because it reminds me of a track that could have been on 1999. Though I love the album, I just was praying for a double album, but was kinda disappointed that it wasn't. Then the b-sides started coming and I was happy.

Yes, it's good. He didn't fall off until Emancipation. Many folks say 93-95 was the second "classic" period, after 80-88. He released Come, TGE, Exodus, and the video version of The Undertaker. Plus he recorded Chaos & Disorder, much of The Vault: OF4S, some of Girl 6, and much of Crystal Ball. It was a truly prolific period with roughly 7 albums of material in 3 years and much of it top rate! And TGE is the cream of the crop.

I'd personally start it at '92. is as strong, if not stronger, than anything that came after plus I think it fits in that era given the title.

For You . Because everything was perfect . Vocals were amazing , the arrangements were very good and u heard the eagerness and hunger in his talent .
