The Family, The Time, The Revolution, Sheila E, etc... I know this has probably been talked about to death and i'm not sure this is in the right spot but i been reading past interviews of his old "friends" and band mates. they usually talk about him in a positive light and rarely any slander. do you ever wonder why he's so mean and distant from them?
especially Wendy and Lisa, The Time and The Family name usage dispute, not showing up at the Carnegie show or the Revolution Reunion...i just don't get him and i don't think anybody else does. what do you guys think?

As my therapist at the VA always states,; "stay out the rearview mirror"". You can't unscramble an egg; the past is the past. Just heard a LOL recording and Prine stated folks always talking about whats Prince's best band...He goes on to say "the next one".

even though prince move on but like all of us some of the people we live behind we have bad blood with and some we revisit but i will say just b/c we dont see them with prince or hear him speak of them doesnt mean they dont talk or hang out . prince is still a very private person and he not gonna get on twitter and facebook and say i just got off the phone with wendy and that gal sure can gossip lol. levi stated on facebook that him and prince still jam 2gether from time 2 time and plan on doing more work 2gether yet people claim he wanna kill prince

he is still trying to prove he can write a record without them that is as good .. if he invites them back before doing so .. and comes out with his best record yet .. it will really ruin his sense of self importance .. so don't worry as soon as he writes a good record again he will welcome those old friends back into the fold .. should just be another 10 or 15 records .. wont be much longer

I just hope everything is all good before he "heads up yonder". Lol I'm not usually one for nostalgia but he has had a lot of ppl in his life & many I thought were real friends so I was just curious & by the way I was born in '92 so I don't have many friends from '86. Lol

yet another foolish post. He already wrote most of his 80's material without them. THAT IS A FACT
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
no it's not a fact actually .. what is a fact is that he had a lot of help on a lot of his best songs and a lot of his other songs too .. you know that hhhhmmptht .. now stop lyin

no you stop lying. Prince wrote the vast majority of his best work HIMSELF. Fact. Making up lies does not change reality
Prince was the one who wrote for the time. The time existed because of Prince. Same goes for the family. What did Sheila E right for Prince exactly? Prince was the one who put her on the charts.

you made the claim that he had "help" on alot of his best songs. now you need to prove it. Otherwise your claim is rubbish (which it really is). Don't claim things unless you can actually provide evidence for them

I've noticed that people who claim that Prince had help writing and recording most of his best material don't like to be specific when asked to back up their claims. But Trevor has a point - aslong as there is a PERCEPTION that Prince needed help to create quality work, he probably won't reunite with former bandmates. A reunion would be a win-win situation for former associates, and a lose-lose situation for Prince. If the reunion is succesful, former band members can take credit for Prince's return to form, if not succesful, they can distance themselves and claim that they weren't allowed much creative input (ie Planet Earth). Also I think a reunion with former bandmates, especially members of the Revolution, would get more credit than perhaps deserved. Take the Revolution reunion for Bobby Z's charity. It sounded pretty avarage, at best, but was hailed by some as the best "Prince" concert since the 80's. [Edited 5/7/13 14:54pm] The wooh is on the one!
