Small Club '88 - Sabotage vs Thunderball ?

Hi - about the very old, classic boot "Small Club":

.

I have a few questions (I only own the version from X-records)..

.

How would you compare Sab's and Moonraker's release ?

.

.

- Are they both tracked well.. ? (tracked: I mean the songs aren't combined). question

- Cover art, I guess they are both great, with the cd-booklet etc.. question

- Sound wise...? I guess Sabotage is superior, but isn't the sound great too, on Moonraker.. question

.

I am listening to the X-Record's version right now music

.

What a f*cking great recording................. heart

.

the X-record version -- great sound, imo, but the tracking of songs is just terrible...

.

.

.

I guess the old freaks in the house - those with knowledge -- has left the Org - maybe even long time ago...? eek

.

ok, then let me make my question a bit more easy:
.

.

The Thunderball cd version compared to the Sabotage... how are these 2, soundwise. question

.

.

- is the sound on Thunderball really bad - or ok - good - maybe even great...?

X Records, hands down!

I just used Sound Forge to resequence the tracks properly and it's perfect...

thank you 8up and DjThunderF.

.

I might make a similar resequence of the songs too,

.

I guess Audacity can do that as well.

.

I still would like to hear:

.

how is the sound on the Thunderball version... compared to "the others"??

I have the Thunderball & Sabotage, iirc they both sound great, but not "better than" X Records. The sequencing is better on both, but I fixed that. Since they didn't sound "better" to me, I stuck with the classic that I got back in the day.

I also have the original 3LP vinyl set.... it's SWEEEET!

I don't think that there are any significant differences in sound quality between the numerous versions of this gig. I have not personally heard the Thunderball version, but the others sound quite good. I can't recall ever hearing a bad copy if I'm honest.

My first copy of this gig was also the version on 'X' Records, but on double cd, not vinyl. These days I rarely play a cd, so if I want to listen to this show, it's usually the Sab version that I listen to.

^ thanks TDG, for your reply. biggrin

.

I would love to get my hands on the Sab version, but it seems difficult.

.

I own the X-Records version and soon the version from Thunderball.

.

My only reason to buy it once again is the terrible sequencing/ tracking of songs on the X-records version.
