Just some (though many may be disasterous):
* India.Arie * Vanessa Daou * Meshell Ndegeocello * Norah Jones * Suzanne Vega * Cassandra Wilson (I’m shocked they haven’t gotten together already) *The poetess Jessica care Moore (who I suspect was “The Poet 99” from Joint 2 Joint) Joshua Redman * Wendy&Lisa * Jill Jones * TTD * Brenden Perry or Lisa Gerrard (or both!) previously of Dead Can Dance * Beck, if this collaboration was in good humor and NOT to be taken seriously * Missy Elliot * Michael Jackson. As much as I hate to admit this, it’d have such meaning now. * Ryuichi Sakamoto * Joni Mitchell * Jaco Pastorus * Eric Clapton * Madonna again * Portishead * Yolanda Adams * Ben Harper * Maxwell * Aretha And I would have really loved him and: * Zeppelin * Hendrix * Janis Joplin * John Coltrane * Thelonius Monk * Sam Cooke * Marvin Gaye Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Other than that most of the artist I could really see him jamming with are gone, like Hendrix adn Eddie Hazel I always wondered what he would sound like working with Robert Smith, but that would probably be strange? Can you think of anyone you would want to see him work with? [This message was edited Mon Mar 10 12:38:56 PST 2003 by Meloh9] i wouldve loved 2 see him and hendrix jam cause he reminds me a lot of him but as 4 the now... cherokee( her song and video "u betta" seems 2 pay tribute 2 him) d'angelo- now that'd be incredible especially on an extended version of how does it feel... miles davis-i'd love 2 hear what they put down 2gether if they really did collaborate... r kelly-another incredible union... teena marie- breathless and speechless at the thought rick james- 2 innovators of funk lenny kravitz-i wanna hear what they layed down 2gether 2... joni mitchell-said 2 be 1n of his favorites... like 2 hear them on an acoustic jam john nelson- :::eyes closed:::wish i could find around the world in a day 2 hear the song he did with his dad...

Ingrid again - that'd be SWEET man.
David Sylvian: although knowing how shy they both are, we'd all probably be dead by the time they got around 2 talking 2 each other, let alone recording something 2gether! Trent Reznor. Yeah, u heard me right - Trent Reznor!!! ..and it nearly happened 2!!! That's the most frustrating part of my little fantasy Trent was in a studio comlex (in LA I think it was) around the time of the beginning of the recording process 4 'The Downward Spiral' and He was informed that Prince was on His way over, and wanted 2 discuss Trent remixing a track (this was around the time of 'COME' I believe). Trent had already heard thru various Biz bodies that Prince really dug their 'BROKEN' EP, and had a copy 2 play in his car. Prince turned up at the studio, and Trent happened 2 be heading down a long corridor when Prince appeared at the other end dwarfed (although, let's face it - that aint the hardest thing 2 do with regard P!) by 2 bodyguards. Trent had been informed '...dont call Him 'Prince'. The 2 parties got 'Closer' (if u pardon the pun!) and closer, and Prince minced right past him without saying a word! Trent was none 2 impressed by all accounts (although, I think he must've 4given Him, as I know He was in attendance at one of the Emancipation shows in New Orleans a few years back. IF ONLY! (although Im sure Im out-voted on this one!)

I'd like to hear what would come out if Prince were willing to relinquish some control and collaborate with really great producers like Dr Dre, the Neptunes or Timbaland.

Doubt it would ever happen but, Tom Jenkinson a.k.a Squarepusher!
It would be mental - question is, could Prince keep up?! ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

I always considered a Prince - Paul McCartney very challenging. Most people Prince worked with were less capable in playing all instruments, producing, arranging and/or composing.
McCartney is capable in all fields, just like Prince, so it would be a good challenge for both of them to put their egos aside and try to make some real good music. Prince for the rhythms and McCartney for the melodies. But I doubt it will ever happen.

Someone said Elton John. I bet they, (along with the other guy that writes EJ songs) could come up with some killer lyrics.
