PRINCE AT THE VOGUE THEATRE (REVIEW) "The closest he came to anything approaching a hit was “I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man”, from Sign O the Times (1987), slowed down to a grunge tempo. And, for an encore, “Let’s Go Crazy” got a similar injection of grunge, and though the familiar guitar lines and chorus excited the crowd, the song’s refrain isn’t quite as convincing when the rhythm has a lead weight attached."
Pretty Much what i expected to hear.

First time I can remember Prince getting a string of negative reviews for his concert work.

when u pay 250 to see an intimate show fans want the great songs in an intimate setting .. not covers .. not hits .. but those great song he wrote so long ago
prince thinks it means you want to see his shitty garage band play a bunch of crap that totally sucks mixed with his band ruining a bunch of songs you actually love
note to prince .. shitty garage bands charge 5 dollars to see them in some intimate club setting
when is prince ever gonna get his pricing right? a 10 dollar cd should have 10 good songs on it .. i can by a coaster for less than a buck
a 90 dollar ticket should get you the hits .. not half assed covers with other assholes singing half the set
250 should get prince playing full acoustic versions of wb era b sides and rarities mixed with a full band production of his best 12 inch and or decent funk or rock jams .. not crappy meandering solos with crappy new songs that suck and a band that cant handle any of prince back catalog worth a shit at all

Wasn't it billed as 3rdeye girl with Prince ?
It shouldnt be a surprise in that matter. Hoever, His 25min encore wait is quitte typical Prince antics these days. I wonder who told him this was a good idea. [Edited 4/16/13 10:29am]

250 dollars, seriously?
I could get a consultation, cut, shampoo, 3-colour tint, and ironic fashion mullet hairdo for 50 dollars less than that.

And a to go with it. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
