We just received this news update straight from PAISLEY PARK:

1 more day of full production rehearsal and then PRINCE and 3RDEYEGIRL will take a private plane to Vancouver on Sunday afternoon.

They will all attend the LIVE OUT LOUD Tour Launch party hosted by DJ Rashida at the Portside Pub in Vancouver. Tickets are $25.00 now and will be more at the door.

New music from the newly mixed FULL-LENGTH CD "PLECTRUM ELECTRUM" (working title) will be showcased all night long!

PRINCE is expected to make a brief appearance but 3RDEYEGIRL along with DJ Rashida will be keeping the party jumping til there ain't one!

I hope it's not through a newpaper or Target. I hope he realizes how valuable Amazon.com and release the physical copies of the album through Amazon and digitally through iTunes. He can maximize his sales potential by making the product available through as many channels people buy and experience music. The group has potential to find an audience beyond the Prince community and it would be a waste to not explore those avenues.

I hope I can walk in to a CD store and buy a physical album - with a lovely cover and artwork and lyrics inside - as much as I love iTunes for the ease, I prefer to buy my Prince stuff in a physical format. PLEASE let it be a real cd.

Batches through Amazon would not be a bad idea. I think the days of making deals with retailers is over. The CD will not even be in stores about 5 years. Did Target sell all those LotusFlower cds? I believe I seen them for 99 cents. Bestbuy dead as well, I go there and see 3 shelves of GnR CD cds, they made a big deal with them to get the exclusive. I recently seen WalMart selling the AC/DC Black Ice cd for $2. I wonder how those deals are working out for the retailers??

I hope he doesn't want $50 bucks for this cd. I also hope someone other than he and his band are going to be responding to orders...

Great News! I'd love to be able to walk into a store and buy a Prince cd again.

From the little bit I heard FIXURLIFEUP sounds like a redo of Check the Record from the Dakota shows.

Why isn't this a sticky or on the front page? I mean this is REAL news? Why do his legal problems get front page news, but when a new album is announced it's like no one cares or something...

Rant over lol: I can't wait for this release and I too hope I can just go to a cd store (well no, cuz I don't know anymore music stores on Oboro, Ky since FYE shut down there). I just want a physical copy.

If i can't hold it in my hands, it just won't feel right. I doubt that I have to worry about that though
