Think a while back, what was the first Prince song you ever heard, that either made you fell in love or completely turned you off?

Of course there was Purple Rain, but the first song that really made me Love Prince was Pop Life I don't know what it was about that song, it just touched me in a fuzzy sorta way and every since then things has never really been quit the same

I was sitting and paying attention, but the song that got me hooked was Starfish and Coffee. Still love it to this day and I can't describe what it does to me or why it made me this way and I like it like that.

Back when we attended chuch together he asked the pastor if he could lead the choir into one the tunes he was working on. If I recall correctly it was called "Jesus kick me through the field goal of life" or something like that. Then and there I knew he was something special.

The first songs I remember were Little Red Corvette and 1999 and although a fan from then on it wasn't until SOTT that I became really hooked, especially when I heard La La La, Hee Hee Hee.

It had to be either Dirty Mind or Controversy.

Sexy Dancer was the first Prince song I ever heard. I was 13 years old & I've been hooked since then!!!

The video for "I Wanna Be Your Lover" was played on a show called Friday Night Videos (not the NBC show) or some show like it on a local Los Angeles channel in the Fall of 1979 and totally turned me off to Prince. I hated that video and so I hated the song. Two years later I heard "Controversy" on an AM R&B station and fell in love with it. I was very surprised to find out it was Prince and it changed my whole attitude towards him.

Probably "kiss" or "batdance".. when I heard D&P I knew it was "PRINCE".. when I heard kiss and Batdance I didn't know it was prince.. but I was hooked on the song "raspberry Beret" a few years later..

1999 was the first song I heard by Prince. I was 10 or 11 years old I think. I was hooked from then on.

HA! Friday Night Videos was my intro too. We didn't have MTV so we waited all week to see new videos and one week it was Prince's 1999. I just thought it was the coolest thing in the world. Apparently, I never stopped thinking that!

1st song I HEARD was I Wanna Be Your Lover...It was on one of my old K-Tel albums.

1st song that made me stand up and take notice was Little Red Corvette.

The first Prince song I have ever heard was Erotic City, and that was on the radio when I was 13, which was three years ago. Then I found the Purple Rain album in my Mom's cd case, and then it was all over... I was hooked for life.

First one that I remember, Little Red Corvette on Solid Gold. I was sitting on my mothers lap while I watched it and little did I know then who he was and the impact his music would have on my life.

The Little Red Corvette video on MTV. My sister was watching television and I happened to walk through the room at the time that video was on and I remember asking her "Who is this?"

Hooked from that day on.
