The font choice for the "Welcome 2 America" tour

I just noticed this on the title sequence to the Sergio Leon film "Once Upon a time in America"

Is it possible that there is more thought than we think put into Prince's choices for design?

interesting hmmm the "America" font part in your second-posted image somewhat resembles a similar underlining as on the upcoming Live Out Loud tour, although a different font.

Art directors for "Once Upon..." : Carlo Simi and James Singelis ( Once Upon A Time In Ameri...w - TCM.co )

Live Nation likely designed for the W2A series, but I couldn't directly spot any info about their art department, beside some job ads: Sr. Visual Designer - Use...on Careers

Okay the photo in my original post wasn't working so most of you probably didn't see the font. Here is the frame from the movie title sequence:

Interesting observation! We know that Prince is interested in film. But as Shango points out Live Nation likely used their own art department.

The wooh is on the one!

^ Yeah, their also might have been some discussion and reviewing by Live Nation with Prince about concepts and ideas though?

I don't think Live Nation would design like that based on their website. In the case of artists, they normally have their own art direction/designer that fits their packaging, website, posters, etc. Normally this kind of thing is dictated by the styleguide from the client (Prince's company) if that client has their own design agenda with their projects. Prince normally does!
