I think he's calmed down a bit, like most people that discover faith in something they go all-out on it for a while and then calm down a bit.

Same thing happened too Cat Stevens, went hardline religious for a while and is now more comfortable with his beliefs.

Too religious to play your best songs again is still too religious for me.

Maybe he just messed up the lyrics again, or he was thinking of "Whenever I go down the street to my house, she´s there, waiting for me." wink

Which songs do u consider 2 b his best that he won't perform/play anymore?

4 the most part, he plays most of the songs in some form. Even if it's from the sampler in the piano when he does the big shows.

Maybe he's still trying to find the middle ground... lol

I think that's sort of the problem lol

To me it speaks volumes that he plays the first few seconds of "Darling Nikki" and the crowd goes kookoo bananas. A short list of tracks I'd love to hear but know I won't (at least until he opens up again):

Come

Feel U Up

P. Control

FaceDown

Gett Off

Sexy MF

Irresistable Bitch

I feel you on the sampler. I'm not a big fan of it either.

As for "Gett Off" he has performed it since being a JW. He just usually changes the lyrics to 23 "scriptures." That doesn't bother me so much.

As for the ones you listed (I would add Erotic City to that list), I get it.

Has he performed "Come" or "Feel U Up" since they were first written?

I'd rather defer to "The Dance Electric" Prince.

I still would really love to see and hear him sing "The Cross".

That would be wonderfull.

Was talking about this with a buddy seriously just earlier today. It would totally fit the vibe of the shows being played, but just remeber, JW's don't believe in a "Cross" proper. So..... you might be looking at an edited version if he did it live.

Edited?

As in not singing the original lyrics that make this song so special?

hasn't this been going on since 2007 though, him singing some stuff that makes

us go "hey, wait a minute, that's kinda nasty old prince right there"

.

and then he gets a bit religious half an hour later. throwing in a few lines about

god here and there.

.

it's hard to tell where he stands. although i think he's still as much a jw as he's

ever been.

.

rather than him being sexy/nasty again sometimes, i'm more happy that he is

calming down with the preaching in his shows. that was more annyoying than

him not performing pussy control or anything like that.

.

at this point it's just nice to see him mellow out on both those sides. i'm not in

the mood for an overtly sexual prince anymore. he's older now and what he's

doing on stage is just fine. same thing about the religious banter. it's good how

he's toned it down.

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Edited as in a dictionary definition which means: "to change." Even if I think you and I both agree we'd prefer to hear it according to the original, he's a grown adult playing music he has written. If he wants to change lyrics to his own work, more power to him.

Originally, the term masterpiece referred to a piece of work produced by an apprentice or journeyman aspiring to become a master craftsman in the old European guild system.
His fitness to qualify for guild membership was judged partially by the Masterpie

I do hope he's not anymore into a "religion" which closes the mind..which makes one think a certain way, whereas to keep a better control on that one

Prince can now find his own way to heaven by himself, he has reached, I hope, enough wisedom to see clear what's good or wrong for his own sake..

When I listen to "until you are in my arms again", I'm pretty sure Prince sings it for a person special to him, whilst the song touches my heart because I listen to the song with a special person in my mind.

Yes, he can and should do as he likes.

But that doesn't automatically mean that it's a good thing.

Sure. And seeing how taste in music is probably subjective, it doesn't make ita "bad" thing either.
