Just need to find a style of my own and I'm high cool

Two versions playing back to back now, to relieve the report writing blues.

Just love it

"Don't need no cymbals, no saxophone, just need to find me a s--ty--le of my own and I'm High

so high

Some people don't understand, just being inside a church don't make a righteous man"

Thats some fine lyric writing, shame the JW Prince of today don't follow those rules any more.

I have a lovely 10.50 minute mix of this standout jam.

The lyrics are very liberating and talk about being free in ones mind. Possibly the purple music is the rhythm of his life and a nirvana he's aspiring to?

I get it. I remember somebody here telling me that the song doesn't go anywhere and the groove is repetitive.

There's joy in repetition though, certainly in this oddity gem music and it has one of the finest showcases of his rhythm guitar playing ever caught on record. I also love quirky random moments scattered all over it lol

I agree, this should have been released...in some form or another.

There's a thread on Crystal Ball (the 3-CD set of bootlegs).....why didn't stuff like this appear on that set??

I think 1999 is perfect but this song would have made a great addition to the album.I'm thinking that it could have replaced "All The Critics Love U In New York".

Agree on the Album being perfect! I don't know about Replacing "Critics" though LOL. I Love that Song 2! Maybe perhaps it would have been cool as a B side 2 something around that time!

Easily my least favorite tune to hear when I was smokin' the reefer. No need to hear what you are umpteenth times. Top 5 favorite outtake still though. Beat is slick. The trippy noises, vocals and lyrics here and there are also very lovely. Most definitely repetitive, but tedius and/or annoying it is far from. That damn near 20 minute piano rehearsal version, my god. What a pain in the ass that is. cool

I do as well. All the Critics... no need no replacement, in my humblest opinion. B-Side maybe? Fuck it, we got it. highfive
