Diamonds & P - London (Earls Court I think) 92

Act II - Wembley Stadium 93?

Gold Experience - London - 95

Gold Experience - Birmingham 95

The hits?? New POwer Soul - London 98 (The one with Chaka Khan)

Aftershow - Hippodrome 98

One night alone - Hammersmith Apollo - 2002/3

21Nights - Opening Night

21Nghts - Opening Night aftershow

21 nights - The one with Will I AM

21 nights - The one when he finished early

21 nights - closing night

21 nights - closing night aftershow

Hop Farm - 2011

Might have missed some, but as you can see, I'm shit at dates!

Act II was the most disappointing, the best is hard to say, but is either Gold, One Night Alone or closing night at the O2 residency.

I don't think that anybody cares abou how many shows anybody saw.

Especially the last few years the important non-hits moments are getting scarcer.

So what's the point in seeing such shows?

For some ego-trippin' and weird jealousy.

What else?

Is that a valid reason that belongs in Music and More?

er

Udo, I'm pretty sure you could make some folks jealous! You must have seen him lots of times.
My own answer is pretty simple: all the shows in Holland since the Nude Tour of 1990 plus 2 in Belgium (Gent 92 and Brussels 98). Plus 2 club shows: Paradiso 95 (1st) and Melkweg 2011 (2nd.) 23 gigs in all.

Sorry, I don't care what others think. I don't post numbers to threads like this. I point out the uselessness.

I don't think it's useless when people want to know these things from one another. And if you don't want to join, you don't. Nothing wrong with that either.

It is not what one thinks.

It is.

What is the use of knowing that someone else did x or y shows?

For the shared experience.

There's really no use to anything anywhere, if you're gonna have that attitude.

Anyways, i've seen him on the

Jam of the Year tour

NPS tour -> we were in Cleveland and Chaka yelled out "Thank you Cincinnatti!"

One Nite Alone

Musicology

I think that's the last time he came around these parts. Nuts.

What's the use of posting saying you don't see the use of knowing how many shows someone has seen? I don't see the use in posting it, people will still say how many shows they've seen regardless of what you post, so what's the use?

I've seen 25 shows, mostly during 21 nights in London where I saw him at 12 main shows and 7 after shows. Other than that I saw 2 shows each of Jam Of The Year, and ONA tours and 1 show of Act II and Gold.

Why are you even here, if you don't care about opinions of others? Stick to the news threads and ignore the rest.

Those threads are for the people who enjoy conversations about "unimportant" things.

If you can't enjoy "silly things" at all, maybe you're in a depression and need some therapy? Lighten up!

Wow who peed in ure Cheerios? I was just curious to see what gigs we all have in common. I think that prince fans are unique for sticking with the purple Gemini over the years. Listing all the shows kind of gives you a timeline & sense of dedication we have to the man. Your a black & white kind of dude, I get that.

Udo,
I don't know you, so I won't generalize about your comments on other threads, but your comments on this thread are without a doubt the most obnoxious comments I've ever read on the Org -- and that's saying a lot. Obviously, some people are interested. I think it's interesting to know how long some fans have been around, whether or not people keep seeing him or take big breaks or just stop altogether at some point, whether or not I've been to the same show as other folks, etc. Jealousy never even entered my mind as a reason for this thread.
