Many asked Doc about new material on 3rdeyegirl.com last night. To paraphrase he answered saying he was told there is a truckload of funk coming in the weeks to come. Then he said it's already been 3 weeks and maybe the truck got detoured on the LA freeway or something.

So in other words "weeks" in Paisley time is a different ballgame.

I don't fault Doc. F. In all honesty I can tell he's as anxious as most of us for new material but he's gotta play along or be cut off if ya know what I mean. Hannah's dad made an appearance last night and someone asked him how Prince discovered her. When he answered "youtube" Doc made a comment about that being ironic. So I really think he's on the same page as most of us.

So maybe tomorrow or maybe next month for new songs. Kinda sucks since it all started with a bang and fizzled so quickly. Deja Vu?

BTW, Hannah's dad seems like a pretty cool guy.

Oh yeah, there's a realtime chat session going the whole time live with the show. Plenty of us kept asking what's up with no new content, tickets being overpriced, midwest/east coast dates etc.

They actually do try and go thru the chat answer questions. They just aren't the answers we want to hear though.

I encourage any of you with these points to simply show up and hammer away at these things. They will answer but like I said it just may not be an answer we like. Not to mention I'd bet there's a certain someone checking it out reading the chat as well.

Hell I'm not trying to promote the show or anything. It's just something different to do for an hour on Wed. nights. and a chance to hear official news when there is any. It's more or less a discussion of recent and upcoming Prince related events. Honestly it can drag at times but it's better than most shit on tv nowdays. There's usually only about 100-130 people logged in and maybe 20 of them participate. So comments and questions are easily seen.

As for Hannahs dad showing up, sure I'm sure it was staged but at the same time it was ok to hear from him. He even joked about being careful not to say too much or else.

Of course a couple of weeks ago when Jester was told he was going to SXSW they put my comment onscreen telling Jester to record the show. Sure P loved that.

That is the one thing that bugs me is all this "fear" they portray. Then again a very small part of it is just sarcasm because of his reputation as a control freak.

When I went to that Lotusflwr mansion show I was not told to sign one damn thing..in fact I asked if I was allowed to post about my experience..all of it and they said go ahead...well i didnt ask permission but I stated I was going to write about it and if there was anythng off limits and they said no...do what you will

I'm really not sure how much Prince watches the Spreecast but I do know he's pulling the strings for it. I'm pretty sure about that. I'm no rebel but I speak my mind open and honestly on the Spreecast. There are a few others that chime in too but there's still plenty of gushers on there too.

Personally speaking for myself on no new material - It wouldn't be as big of a deal if we all haven't been down this road before with his websites or lack of a good business model. But we have. Time and time again.

It's just so damn frustrating because he has the opportunity to make us happy with new music, outtakes, BluRays etc. and make some dough doing it. Makes no sense.

On a positive note, none of us had to shell out cash up front this time for a membership.
