Neither this nor that! It's much better that he concentrates on making music nowadays, there's no need
for a film anymore. Possibly it would help to destroy his legendary station...
The only thing i could imagine and would eventually like to see, as rumoured around in 1989/90, is a screen adaptation about the life of blues legend Robert Johnson.

We have no n4mation on that @ this time.

It probably has more to do with economics. Films are extremely expensive and he is hardly a hot property right now.

But hopefully he won't make anymore movies until he admits to himself that he knows very little about them and learns to collaborate with some great director who does.

Prince is a musical genius of the highest order, but his attempts at film and video (with the exception of "SOTT" and to some degree "Purple Rain") have been pretty mediocre or even downright embarrassing (“Graffiti Bridge”).

Boy could he do some major damage though if he ever would let down the ego and turn over the filmmaking duties to Spike Lee, Lars von Trier, Daren Aronofsky, or some other filmmaking genius, and just concentrate on the music.

Because he's a lousy filmmaker, and no sane person in the world would be willing to put any money in a new Prince film...

Ask Kim why she backed out.. or why the word in hollywood is that working with Prince is Hollywood career suicide.

Still, I wish he made more films, hey Elvis pulled it off.

He probably has or think he has but after UTCM and GB he probably can't find a studio to back him without major changes to the script, cast, and crew.

Actualy I would love from him 2 do a "comedy" movie if not then I"d love from him 2 do a cameo in some hot flick(Movies like Rush Hour).

BTW did he really made a cameo in Whoopi Guldberg's movie??(4got its title)

I heard he rented "Graffiti Bridge" and finally watched it from start to finish.

You're right. No film studio exec in his/her right mind is going to finance a project and let Prince have as much control as he did on UTCM and GB.

His ego was out of control with UTCM. He had so much control that he ended up derailing the tremendous momentum of his film career with that movie, and GB just finished it off.

If Prince is interested in doing a movie these days, I think his best bet would be to take a small role in a big budget film, or come up with a viable screenplay idea and go to one of the cable networks that makes original made for TV and straight to video films.
