Hello: I have 3 questions about music/songs Prince´s

a.-What emerged from the mix Prince´s funk with gospel and pop ?

b.- What are the characteristics of the songs/subjects funk by Prince ?

c.- Prince innovated what ?

I appreciate all views the Org´s members. Who has knowledge about that Prince´s? Thanks.

A. Greatness

B.subjects: spirituality and sex(and even if it's a different subject it's still about the spirituality and the sex, lol). Characteristics: funk, jazz, pop, rock, r and b, even a little bit country at times. Always complex, even with his simple ditties.

C. Innovation- although you can hear and see many influences in his work(funk bandleader-James Brown, jazz-Miles Davis, rockabilly sexter- Elvis, lyrical weirdness and genius- The Beatles, rock God- Queen.....you could go on and on with this, but Prince mixed it all up with a spiritual, sexual, genius all of his own and created it and performed it insuch an utmost genius way , that it has made any of his followers immediate music snobs because they have witnessed stratospheric heights of music excellence. I won't go into all his abilities and achievements...you can Wikipedia or Prince.org for that, but trust me, he hasn't stood tall in the music biz for 35 years only on his good looks.
