Great idea! This would've been a fan fave I'm sure. I'm guessing "Sexuality" woud be your lead single? Or up there at least? Damn I love this tracklist!

I created another album a while back (months if I do so believe, but forgot about it smile . I would've released the album in early '82, some time before 1999 came out. IMO releasing it after Controversy would, I think, would make the tranistion to 1999 flow better (can't describe it in words today haha, hard to think today with a damn cold...UGH! lol ).

I tried to make the tracks transition into the next as smoothly as I could. Well, here they are:

1.) "Lust U Always" (stereo spread)

2.) "Turn It Up" (listed as "Turn It Up #1" on Work It 2.0 updated)

3.) "Tick, Tick, Bang" ('81 version)

4.) "Broken"

5.) "Extraloveable" ('82 version)

6.) "Purple Music" (longer version)

7.) "Moonbeam Levels"

I would like the record's artwork to be a high quality version of one of the stills we got of The Second Comeing; the one of Prince with the sucker in his mouth. For the back of the record, maybe a suggestive pic of Prince and Vanity (I'll leave it up to your imagination, but consider Prince's style back then. The tracklisting wil be purple and would be arranged in an order that will not distract the viewer and listener from the artwork.

Hmm...I think "Turn It Up" would fit nicely. That would be one of the singles as well. That and "Tick, Tick, Bang", and "Moonbeam Levels". After releasing this album, he could release "The Second Coming" and keep working on 1999.

As soon as I re-reupload all of my P music on Itunes, I'm going to do the same as you haha. It is just so fun (for me at least).

Turn It Up is a good title. Those are good singles, too. I do disagree with Tick, Tick, Bang, though. I think the lines about masturbating and whatnot would be too much for radio, unless if that's what you're going for haha. I'm listening to it now; Very good. I find myself making these quite often lol

I'm sure Prince would've gone for it, I mean "Little Red Corvette" talked about condoms haha (not to mention the obvious vagina ref). Dayam!, everyone's albums are great!

Edit: OldFriends4Sale, if you aren't too busy could you make a thread just on the '83 mini era?

Yes, I am quite sure Prince would've gone for it. Warners, though, not so much. At least with LRC, the song can be passed off as being about a girl who is "much 2 fast" for him in non-sexual terms instead of it's actual meaning.

Maybe some Black Album/Batman tracks & outtakes from Batman, LoveSexy, and Graffiti Bridge?

Maybe like Le Grind

Electric Chair

Dance With The Devil

Positivity (IDK it just kinda fits the mood)

Batdance (maybe the WI2.0 version?)

IDK I'm just bouncing ideas here.

Those are some nice suggestions! "Automatic" would fit pretty well IMO. It has that dark, enigmatic feel to it that I think Spooky Electric is about. That and, like you said, stuff from the Black album. What do you think about "Superfunkycalifragisexy"?

Well, it fits the theme very well. Depends what you plan on having as other tracks, if it fits musically or not. Y'know what I mean?

Personally, I'm a pretty big fan of the song.

I can somewhat see what you mean. I'm still deciding which tracks, just need a few now. But there was something I wanted to tell you. When you mentioned "Batdance" as one of the songs, I automatically thought "NOOOOOOOO way" but I just listened to the work it 2.0 version. Low and behold, it is 100 times better than the released one! I am definitely going to include it on my Spooky E album.

Thanks for bringing that up! If you hadn't, I'd never've heard it. I never liked the original version lol .

The year is 1985, Prince and the Revolution have just ended their cross-country tour in support of Purple Rain. To celebrate, Prince and the crew go to First Avenue to celebrate. With him is a record: "The Dance Electric."

A collection of outtakes, while withholding ATWIAD material, Prince meant this album merely a party record for personal enjoyment. The crowd loved it.

Early the next morning, Prince receives a call from Mo Ostin himself questioning about the previous night. Quickly, he came to his point: He wanted the album released. The Purple One refused. Ostin begged for anything, a limited release at least. Prince, for once, gave in.

How limited? Try only 7,000 records on for size.

Prince refused singles, videos, touring - the whole nine yards and put off ATWIAD for a few short months.

The Tracks were as follows:

1. The Dance Electric (WI2.0 version)

2. G Spot

3. Wonderful Ass (#2 on WI2.0)

4. Mutiny

5. 100 MPH (#1 on WI2.0)

6. Computer Blue (#2 on WI2.0)

7. Baby, You're A Trip

In 1999, after his split with Warners, Prince came back to the album, rereleasing it through his 1-800-NEW-FUNK line.

This Release comes with one bonus track:

8. Do Yourself A Favor (as on WI2.0)

Along with this track came new, or should I say altered, artwork.

(AKA I can't decide which cover I like better...)

I finally completed what I think would be a good Spooky Electric record. These are the tracks:

1.)"Superfunkycalifragisexy (Work It 2.0 version)"

2.)"Automatic" (Let's say it would be a VERY dark remake)

3.)"Electric Chair" (The original full length version on Work It 2.0)

4.)"Penetration" (of course it is the Madhouse track "17")

5.)"Batdance" (Work It 2.0 version)

6.)"Dance With the Devil" (I would take out the Joker references though).

Well...it is kind of hard to pick what singles I would release. I guess I would release "Electric Chair" as the lead single, then "Batdance".

Damn, the hardest part would be choosing the artwork for the album. If I chose something too dark and foreboding, people may not buy it nor would it be properly advertised. Haha, I may need help with that biggrin

The tracks are as follow:

DISC ONE

1. Days Of Wild

2. NPG Operator #1

3. Endorphinmachine

4. Come

---------------------------

1. Pussy Control

2. Ripopgodazippa

3. NPG Operator #2 (*#3 on TGE*)

4. Now

DISC TWO

1. Pheremone

2. Dolphin

3. Dark

4. NPG Operator #3 (*#2 on TGE*)

5. The Most Beautiful Girl In The World

1. Acknowledge Me (#1 as on WI2.0)

2. Space

3. Papa

4. Billy Jack Bitch

DISC THREE

2. 319

3. Race

4. Letitgo

-----------------------------

1. Eye Hate U

2. NPG Operator #4 (*#6 on TGE*)

3. Gold

THE SINGLES

The first single is TMBGITW b/w the Mustang Mix, chosen to capture the pop market's attention.

The next one is Eye Hate U b/w Eye Hate U [Remix] (as appears on WI2.0)

The third single is Days Of Wild b/w Days Of Wild (Part II), a, in true 90s Prince fashion, concession to the rap/hip-hop world.

Fourth is Dolphin b/w Space and the final is Gold, available only as a CD single.

I can't wait to listen to this one! I'm glad you went into depth! The artwork is very nice and fits your choices for the tracks. I always thought The Gold Experience and Come should've been incorporated in one album. I also think it would've made the fans a little less confused.

BTW, is there really a part II of "Days of Wild", or is that something you would make specifically for this album?

No, it was made up, kinda. I took the idea from the A Love Bizarre single (A side ALB [single edit], B side ALB part II (aka rest of song... I think).

Thank you, I think so too. Yes, I do make it meself.

Listening to Spooky now; Sounds good track-wise!

Cool! Since you are good at disigning artwork, I'll let you decide what mine would look like biggrin . Now that you listened to Spooky, is there anything you don't like about it?

Okay:) For the artwork, I was thinking something from the Batman photoshoot; I seem to remember a pic of him with half of his face in shadow, the other not. Take this and have the title in a cool yellow font.

As for the album itself, the only problem I have with it is the flow. The tracks are pretty top notch (in my book, at least). Maybe it's just the copies I have of the songs, but some of them just don't sound completely right next to eachother. For example, Electric Chair sounds a little strange ccoming right after A-U-T-O-Matic. So I'd maybe rearrange the tracks, maybe add one or two/ subtract one so it flows better. As I said, great tracks. The Flow is just off.

On a completely unrelated topic, I'm starting to burn some of me Prince concerts to DVD rainbow

The year is 1995; Summer is just beginning. Prince, aka The Artist Formerly Known As Prince (TAFKAP), is coming off his two year hiatus of no new albums (what do you mean "Come"?) and just playing Small Clubs. Now, as if out of nowhere, Prince is jumping back into mainstream media with a new 3 record album entitled "Days "heart" Wild".

The tracks are as follow:

DISC ONE

1. Days Of Wild

2. NPG Operator #1

3. Endorphinmachine

4. Come

---------------------------

1. Pussy Control

2. Ripopgodazippa

3. NPG Operator #2 (*#3 on TGE*)

4. Now

DISC TWO

1. Pheremone

2. Dolphin

3. Dark

4. NPG Operator #3 (*#2 on TGE*)

5. The Most Beautiful Girl In The World

-----------------------------

1. Acknowledge Me (#1 as on WI2.0)

2. Space

3. Papa

4. Billy Jack Bitch

DISC THREE

1. Shhh

2. 319

3. Race

Fourth is Dolphin b/w Space and the final is Gold, available only as a CD single.

er

^Just one thing though...the discs are divided in 2 as the A and B side of an LP. And just having two songs on the last side of the last disc is not enough. They'd clock in at about 14 minutes including the segue. Hey, here's a thought: what if we put The Exodus has Begun from the NPG cd in there? Always loved that track. Another great song from a weak album.
Damn! This is fun! Might do another one...
