It most likely refers to a specific type of a longer hairdo that Corianthians had and Paul didn't want them to enter the place of worship looking that way (since it was associated with debauchery in that city). I'm not a believer myself, but I suppose if Prince really has studied the bible as much as he insists he should know that it's not really about long hair on men being a sin (the same passage in some of the translations would "forbid" women having short hair too if taken out of context).

Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering about that as well. Prince wears makeup, and the JW elders don't wear that.

Yes, it was straightened at the Grammy's. It could've been straightened simply by using a flat iron, or hot comb. It looks like his natural hair though, since he's going back and forth like this.
