Dallas’ best selling albums at CD Source: Rolling Stones rock “Ya-Ya’s” back to the top

Originally released in late 1970, The Rolling Stones’ classic live album Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out! enjoys the expanded edition treatment with a four-CD version of the 40th anniversary box set that originally came out in 2009. That tops the list of best selling albums at Dallas’ CD Source for the week ending April 14.

“This is one of my all time favorite live albums,” says Lance Price, CD Source owner. “I have always especially loved the live version of ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ on here. This reissue sells for only $24.99. The original album is remastered on disc one. Disc two consists of five bonus tracks from the original concert including ‘Under My Thumb’ and ‘Satisfaction.’ Disc three features opening acts B.B. King and Ike & Tina Turner. You have to be the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band to have them open for you! Disc 4 is a film of the concert and includes Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin in backstage footage. Do I sound excited enough about this release?”

Also big on the countdown this week are catalog titles – The Four Tops’ Icon, Prince’s self-titled album from 1979, and Mumford & Sons’ first album, 2010′s Sigh No More.

This is just one week in one store. I'm guessing they happened to sell two copies of this album this particular week, so it made the "top 20."

Still, Prince, it's time for you to come to Dallas and play the classics from 1979!

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.
