If Prince recorded an album for Blue Note Records-Which Players Would You Choose?

Listening to a lot of Blue Note Records albums from Donald Byrd, Art Blakey, Horace Silver and I'm fascinated by the liner notes on the albums and the reissues because they usually list the musicians who played on each song, dates of recording sessions, how the songs were recorded etc. Many pop artists have recorded albums for Blue Note, so if Prince got went Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic route which players from the past even present would you choose for the record? Half the tracks would be instrumentals and other half songs.

John Blackwell: drums

Rhonda Smith: bass

Lisa Coleman: keys

Eric Leeds: baritone and tenor saxes

Sheila E: percussion

Ambrose Akinmusire-trumpet

Henry "Master" Gibson-percussion

NPG Hornheadz-horns

Camara kambon-piano
