Moonbeam's "L" has come to the crunch and I cannot decide. Please post your arguments for and against these two evenly matched and excellent album tracks to help me decide.

After listening to Lovesexy recently ( going thru Lovesexy and Parade era at the moment!) I would have to say Lovesexy wins easily.

The lyrics and the way it morphs from male to female gender is amazing and. Vocally and Lyrically it beats Lady cabdriver, not taking anything away from it though.

Both excellent songs.

Lady Cab Driver hands down! I grew up on this song . Used to dance around the house to it when I was 9, and my mom would make me turn it off when it got to the end part with the screaming.

When deciding... I looked at the whole song: the lyrics, the music, and the positive vibe I get when listening to it.

LoveSexy won - simple.

Tough decision but Lady Cab Driver wins by a point.

Lady Cab Driver. I love this because I think its the only one on the album where they dont use the drum machine, that and its a top track.

I like lovesexy but it alwasy lacks a bit of something to make it a truly great track. I rarely, if ever, listen to it independently from the Lovesexy album. LCD on the other hand...

I think people like Lovesexy so much (which I never knew until now) b/c it's all happy & loud & shit, they wanna jump around to it or something, LOL...

LCD is darker, more sparse, more bold, sexier IMO...

Put it this way, if Lovesexy was on the 1999 album I don't think it would get as much recognition. If Lady cab Driver was on the Lovesexy album, the song would be considered even more of a fan classic. Lady Cab Driver gets my vote.

To my defence...with haste (and probably spelling errors) this is the only one that anoys me. The section of the song is awsome i agree esp. "yea that's for you, that's who that ones for". Just god reference in such a sexy funky song.

It has more energy, both sexual and musical.

Also, the girl sounds as if she's enjoying the experience more then Prince. Where as Lady Cabdriver sounds like he's being a little too rough with her.
