Does anybody know the official reason that 1999/LRC was issued as a double A side early 1985 in Europe by WEA , this interupted the "purple rain" releases as it was released after I would die 4 u and prior to lets go crazy. It was a huge hit but the timing of the release didn't quite make sense , i'm presuming that because of the lack of chart success of i would die 4 u , warners panicked and rush released this double A side to keep Prince in the public eye , but I may be wrong and i'm sure lets go crazy would have charted high enough if it had been released after i would die 4 u anyway.
