While we all know Prince has been playing a ton of covers in his shows over the course of the past 12 years or so, wouldn't it be nice if he played some more not so obvious ones?

Songs like Everyday People and Play That Funky Music are neat but I'd love to hear Prince sit at a piano with his band play Stop Look Listen... it fits right in there with his current choice of lyrics.

Idk why the covers bother people so much. He played like 8 covers at the 2 shows i attended(between the two not at each) and only maybe 3 of them were actual full versions. Most people received them well. i think it's intresting to see what songs the mighy Prince feels like adding honor to. I'd love to see him cover like walk this way, damn right i got the blues, or make it funky.

If you've ever been to a show where 30 minutes out of 2 hours were filled with covers, another 10 mintues of Shelby singing lead, and at least 5-10 minutes of Shelby screaming "Put Your Hands Up" at the top of her lungs, and then 10 minutes of Prince doing Karaoke, then you might have a problem with covers. Of course, you don't go to the next show, and he plays 20 full length songs. That's luck in Prince world live.
