I does have a raw demo feel - but love the guitar work- that is so intimate - like he is in the room playing.

I actually really like this song.

I can imagine it easily fitting in an acoustic break within a new album. It certainly fits within the relationship dynamics of the Boyfriend song, adding more depth/soul to the scenario, as does You Will Be (With Me), which incidentally segues quite perfectly after That Girl Thang, due to its yearning nature and the quality of the demo. If only they would release the You Will Be (With Me) demo.

really liking all the new music Prince - keep it coming & I hope you like earning money this way - I'm happy to pay for them - if this keeps up we'll have dozens of tracks by year's end...........

not really my favorite type of Prince song, but it's pleasant enough, I suppose, if uneventful

Digging the song. To me it'd blend well with the accoustic version of "Reflection" he played on Tavis Smiley. The little nuances I've read earlier this morning I'm not able to hear yet since I'm listening to it at work, but they'll be heard in my truck this afternoon.

Pretty good, nice change of pace. That's some of the nicest acoustic work I've heard Prince do on the guitar.

But it was recognised as a zip archive so I could extract the gorgeous WAV file to convert it to flac.

Exactly. I'm not a huge fan of Andy's record, but she's not another Bria or Mayte.

Very nice acoustic number that is definitly a new track that is an excellent addition to all the songs released so far.

People who are opining that they don't like this song are missing the point: This isn't a song - yet. It's a sketch of a song, an outline, a doodle.

How many times have we said (well, some of us, anyway), "I wish I could get more of a sense of Prince's creative process? I'd love to hear the evolution of a song." That's what this is. He's letting us into the studio (or maybe his living room) as a fly on the wall. This is a gift, people. Recognize it.

I have said many times that some of my favorite bootlegs are rehearsals. I love to hear him working out arrangements and sound, and cueing the band. Maybe it's my own work as an actor, but I often find the process more interesting than the finished product. I'm really grateful to Prince for letting me get a glimpse into his journey for 88 cents.

Mine has a scratch at the :51 second mark. Does everyone elses? IT sounds like it is a record skipping

Find it really odd that they re-labeled "Boyfriend" as demo, even though it sounds like a fully-formed, completed production.

Whereas "That Girl Thing" gets no such tag, but is obviously a demo, since you can hear the tape hiss and there's actually a little bit of a tape error or something in there.
