I guess I meant to say that the song sounds like he would never have released it on a record, and therefore would have placed it in the vault. The sound quality also seems less polished than something you might find on a cd, and the acoustic nature of it made me imagine what it would be like to just be watching him in the studio. I'm not sure why this song, out of all the others on the website caught my interest. Maybe because it sounds old, and reminds me of a time when his music was exciting to my ears. I'm a huge fan, just wishing to be excited again by his music. I don't see anything wrong with that. I suppose most of the people who feel that way are probably not on the org anymore.

What it really comes down to is whether or not you let yourself get bored by Prince or any other artist... Don't have unrealistic expectations and then you might be pleasantly surprised... Listen to other musicians and don't depend on any. When music speaks to you, acknowledge it, then move on... If it doesn't, make your statement and then move on... Music is only boring as long as you let it be.

i've always wanted to watch prince compose a song; these little downloads are close to being that. it's like he's folding paper airplane songs and tossing them at us.

i don't care if the mix isn't perfect, or the formatting ideal. i just love how fresh and hot these little gems are. also, i love that prince is sending them our way so easily. no more waiting until the album drops, if ever
